Three Marketing Roles Filled at ETC

Rebecca Knipfer, Kirk Starks, Lowell Olcott

Three familiar faces recently moved into new marketing roles at ETC. Each individual has been with ETC for several years spanning various positions. Lowell Olcott was recently promoted to product marketing manager of ETC's Product Management department. After eight years of experience as a product manager, Olcott says, "I am excited to be working more closely with this fantastic team as they continue to develop innovative new products." He is deeply interested in system integration and is committed to exploring new ways for ETC products to work together. Prior to working in the Marketing department, Lowell was a field project coordinator based out of ETC's LA office.

Joining ETC's product management team as the rigging product manager is Rebecca Knipfer. She joined ETC in 2018 as a rigging field service engineer and has recently been working in IT, developing mobile apps and DaVinci software. Before coming to ETC, she worked for ZFX and Clearwing. Knipfer is an ETCP-certified rigger for both theatres and arenas, and an ETCP-recognized trainer. She brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for the rigging world. "I'm looking forward to continuing the success of the rigging product line as well as exploring new areas for growth," Knipfer says.

Kirk Starks joins the team as the new marketing product manager for networking and mobile apps. He joined ETC in 2008 as a member of the Systems - Project Management group. In March of 2009, he began his 14-year run in ETC's Technical Services department, where he originated the role of senior technical support specialist, helping to support the many products ETC has made to date. Prior to his time at ETC, Starks worked as a freelance lighting and sound designer. He also previously served as the vice commissioner for lighting technology for USITT. He is excited to bring his knowledge and passion to the worlds of Networking and Mobile Applications and continue innovating and expanding ETC's product successes in these areas.

"Each of these people is uniquely suited to their new positions with experience, education, and passion." Says vice president of marketing David Lincecum. "We congratulate them on growing their skills and roles at ETC and we're excited to have them on our team."
