ABTT Award Goes to d&b audiotechnik

	d&b audiotechnik V-Series line array with the ABTT award for "Sound Product of the Year."

At ABTT last week in East London, d&b audiotechnik was awarded the "Sound Product of the Year" award for the new V-Series line array.

Development was led by Matthias Christner and Werner 'Vier' Bayer. The R&D department focused upon a medium sized line array based around 10" drivers for the LF section. "We wanted to create a system that combined powerful delivery with typical d&b sound, but in a smaller package," said Christner. The system comprises V8 and V12 loudspeakers with its own cardioid V subwoofer, and mimics its larger cousin the J-Series in coverage and sound characteristics while delivering 139 dB SPL from the full range cabinets, the company says.

"It's a great honor to receive the award for Sound Product of the Year," said Phill Coe, general manager of the d&b UK office. "Coming to ABTT is always a pleasure for d&b; contributing to this vibrant community can be quite intoxicating. Winning this award makes the visit even sweeter."
