Elite Multimedia Productions Puts on a Show for Censis Technologies

Censis Technologies Users Conference (CtUC)

As the largest and longest-running users conference in the surgical inventory management industry, the Censis Technologies Users Conference (CtUC) offers cutting-edge insight from experts across the country. Held inside the Gaylord Opryland Convention Center in Nashville, the 2018 CtUC was packed with numerous educational sessions, exciting events, and valuable networking opportunities. Wanting to bring a Nashville-flare to the production design behind the highly-anticipated conference, the team at Censis Technologies worked with production provider Elite Multimedia Productions who supplied an impactful audio, LED video and lighting design.

"When we started having internal conversations about the design of the conference, we wanted to create an environment that was both engaging and educational," began Greg Priode, senior director of marketing, Censis Technologies. "We also wanted it to have a Nashville style, so we needed a production company who had experience with not only creating engaging conferences, but also crowd-pleasing shows. It is imperative that our attendees be able to relax and have a great experience, but at the same time be engaged and entertained while consuming great educational content."

With the Censis Technologies headquarters located in "Music City," Priode was familiar with a number of the production providers operating in the area. Wanting to ensure that its full vision for the 2018 CtUC could be effectively brought to life onstage, he was confident in the decision to partner with Elite Multimedia Productions.

"Once we met with the team at Elite Multimedia, we were excited about their understanding of how to successfully merge the ideas of a show and conference together and create an event that people will want to attend every year," continued Priode. "This was a big step for us because in the past it's been a traditional conference, so we really wanted to work with a partner that understood what it means to put on a memorable production, not just a conference."

Now ready to begin building the design behind the event, the production schedule would be tight. Needing a team that would be able to work within the time allotted, Priode was able to capitalize on the expertise of the technicians behind the scenes.

"We had a half a day on Saturday to load-in the production equipment, and then we had about eight hours on Sunday to get all the production elements set for the conference open," explained Priode. "We didn't have a long load-in time, but Elite Multimedia Productions brought in a great crew who did a phenomenal job with the audio, lighting, video, and live IMAG camera's that allowed us to quickly capture the attention of our audience."

As time drew near to open the doors to the 2018 CtUC conference, Priode was eager to see the power and creativity behind the new design. With a full schedule of speakers and events, they were confident that all the elements were now in place to fully engage the excited attendees.

"The event is a three-day conference filled with general sessions that include about 15-20 different speakers, our Philanthropic Games benefitting the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt, and a keynote address given this year by former University of Tennessee defensive back Inky Johnson," added Priode. "At the end of the day, we wanted to work with the best partner possible and knowing of their experience with major concert touring artists and high-profile corporate brands, we were very comfortable that Elite Multimedia Productions was the right team to help us achieve a truly captivating conference design."

With the conference now complete, the post-show feedback has continued to roll in. Knowing that it is the attendee who ultimately decides the success of the event, the Censis Technologies team was thrilled with the response they have received to the new production design.

"The feedback was incredible," concluded Priode. "Every employee and attendee was stopping to let us know how this was the best conference we had ever produced, and they loved every minute of it. From the post-conference metrics we are receiving, we feel like we captured the audience exactly how we wanted too, and the show was such a huge success."
