MEGA-LITE Launches the Frostbot MEGA-LITE's Frostbot is a high-output, motorized fixture that brings together wash, strobe, and visual effects in a compact, durable design. With a 220-degree motorized tilt and an IP65-rated enclosure, it is said to perform reliably in both indoor and outdoor environments. Its flexibility allows lighting professionals to adapt it to a variety of stage designs and event conditions. A defining element of the Frostbot is its d-frost effect, a DMX-controlled glass frost that adjusts smoothly from clear to fully diffused. This feature gives users precise control over the beam diffusion, softening the output as needed and minimizing glare or moire when used with cameras. The d-frost adds visual depth, making it possible to shift the mood of a scene or performance with subtle changes in diffusion. The fixture also includes 16 individually mappable pixel sections that can be programmed for complex customized visuals or synchronized with pre-set effects. Each section can operate independently, offering creative flexibility for live shows. When used as a wash, the d-frost glass softens the light for an even, atmospheric projection; when used as a strobe, three groups of eight high-power pixels create precise, energetic bursts of light. Together, these functions make the Frostbot adaptable for concerts, installations, and broadcast environments.
