ESTA Issues Call for New Consensus Body Participants

ESTA is looking for new participants in its many working groups. In a statement, the association says, Maintaining a balance of interests on our working groups is an essential part of the standards development process. While true parity of interest categories is difficult to attain in the ever-evolving world of our Technical Standards Program, we still try to narrow any disparity by soliciting new participants in specific interest categories, asking them to consider contributing their time and expertise. If you have an interest in the scopes of the following working groups, then this solicitation is directed at you:

Among the groups looking for new participants, the Control Protocols Working Group needs custom market producers, designers, dealer or rental companies, and anyone with a general interest. It does not need mass-market producers.

The Electrical Power Working Group needs custom market producers, designers, dealers, rental companies, and anyone with a general interest.

The Event Safety Working Group needs equipment providers, Event workers, Insurance companies, and performing artists.

The Floors Working Group needs custom market producers, dealers, or rental companies.

The Fog and Smoke Working Group needs dealers or rental companies.

The Followspot Positions Working Group needs dealers or rental companies.

The Photometrics Working Group needs custom market producers. Designers, dealers, rental companies, and anyone with a general interest.
