Las Vegas RF Coordinator Eighty32 Show Tech Releases Pro Audio and RF Apps for iPhone and Mac

Eighty32 Show Tech, a Las Vegas RF coordination and show network company, has released a suite of iPhone apps and a Mac app built from its own work on broadcast, festival, and corporate shows. The apps are made for RF coordinators, A2s, and systems techs who keep wireless running on a show, and they come from the same team that provides RF coordination on those shows.

The lineup covers the jobs that usually mean carrying another box or another laptop. Toolbox is a field kit of RF and audio tools and references, including an RF coordination tool that pulls the active DTV channels around any ZIP code from FCC data so crews can see what to avoid before they arrive. SwitchBox handles network switch control from a phone. BrownBox turns L Acoustics Soundvision reports into rigging views, PatchBoy handles patching and input lists, and Listen is a wireless listening companion. On the Mac, RF QC monitors and records up to 64 channels of Dante for broadcast RF, with Shure Axient Digital and Sennheiser telemetry and pre-fade recording. The apps have free versions with Pro upgrades.

The apps sit alongside Eighty32's core business: RF coordination for live events and broadcast. The company handles frequency planning and coordination, RF site surveys, spectrum monitoring and on-site RF management for festivals, award shows, conventions and corporate events, and rents the wireless, RF over fiber and spectrum analysis gear to back it up.

"Every one of these started as something I needed on a show and couldn't find," says Chris DeBrizzio, founder of Eighty32 Show Tech. "They're built by someone standing at the RF desk, for the people standing next to him. And if you'd rather have us at that desk, that's what we do every week."

The iPhone apps are on the App Store and RF QC is available at rfqc.eighty32.com. More on the apps is at eighty32.com/software, and RF coordination inquiries can go to hi@eighty32.com.
