ESTA Announces Curated Education Sessions in New York City

The Entertainment Services and Technology Association (ESTA) announces that it will host curated education sessions in New York City on Friday, July 17, 2020. These sessions will be hosted by the ESTA Technical Standards Program (TSP). The TSP is the only American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited standards program dedicated to the specific needs of the entertainment technology industry.

ESTA's curated education will consist of four 90-minute classes presented over the day by subject matter experts from the Control Protocols Working Group (CPWG), one of the Technical Standards Program's largest and most prolific working groups. CPWG volunteers will cover a wide array of topics including Ethernet wired/wireless networking, sACN, RDM, RDMnet, DMX512, and a Show Networking overview.

This is a unique opportunity for attendees to interface directly with the CPWG volunteers that authored the interoperability standards developed by the TSP.

These sessions are being held in conjunction with the North American Theatre Engineering Architecture Conference (NATEAC) (www.nateac.org) and will be held at The Roosevelt Hotel (theroosevelthotel.com) in New York City. Early-bird $75 full-day registrations will be available beginning on March 10th on the ESTA website(www.esta.org) and registrants may attend as many sessions as they prefer.

Entertainment Technician Certification Program (ETCP) renewal credits will be available for those that qualify. A full session list and schedule is in final development and will be released before the start of registration March 10th. Attendance is open to ESTA members and non-members alike.

Seating capacity will be strictly limited on a first-come, first-served basis. ESTA strongly encourages prospective attendees to ensure their seat by taking advantage of the early-bird registration, opening on March 10th.
