LightShark to Unveil its New X-Series at InfoComm 2025

The new NODE 6X and NODE 12X offer six and 12 DMX universes respectively.

Equipson will officially unveil its new LightShark X-Series at InfoComm 2025, a line of professional DMX/RDM control devices designed to deliver maximum compatibility, advanced connectivity, and full configurability for demanding lighting applications.

The new NODE 6X and NODE 12X offer six and 12 DMX universes respectively, with full support for RDM E1.20, ArtNet, and sACN, and allow users to adjust the DMX refresh rate between 15Hz and 44Hz. Each port can be independently configured as an input or output, enabling bidirectional conversion between Ethernet and DMX, as well as flexible routing of DMX512 signals to Art-Net or sACN.

Both units offer Power over Ethernet (PoE, 802.3af, modes A and B) and a direct power input of 100-277 VAC, 50/60Hz via a TrueOne connector. For long-distance applications, the NODE 6X and 12X feature fiber optic connectivity via LC duplex connectors.

The local user interface includes an LCD screen, rotary encoder and escape button, with lock option, and can also be managed remotely via an integrated web server. Advanced network configuration is supported, including customizable IP, subnet mask, and gateway, with 10/100/1000 Base-TX and DHCP compatibility.

Key features include:

*Internal DMX recorder with capacity for five scenes
*Trigger port with 5 GPI inputs for scene/preset activation, also configurable as an alarm input
*Merge modes: HTP, LTP, Backup, and Switch
*Preset system for full operational configuration recall
*Built-in DMX and network monitor for real-time diagnostics

Alongside the X-Series, LightShark introduces the new RDM X splitter, a five-pin DMX distributor with RDM E1.20 support. It offers 1x12 or 2x6 operating modes selectable by button, includes dedicated controls for RDM bypass and 120 Ohm termination, and ensures electrical isolation up to 1000V between inputs, outputs and individual ports.

Also being released is the RDM4, a compact four-port DMX splitter built in the same ultra-compact chassis as the popular NODE 1, 2 and 4 devices. It includes RDM bypass, termination control, full port isolation, and pass-through functionality.

Finally, the NODE 1, 2, and 4 models have been updated with a reinforced chassis, optional clamp mount for direct truss installation, a Kensington Lock for enhanced security, a revamped web configuration server, and support for custom subnet masks for advanced network flexibility.
