Green Screen Studios Lit with ProlightsPodimatas Group, a leading group of production companies in Greece, has recently chosen to work with Prolights to light up their green screen studios. With more than 37 years of experience, the Greek company has offices in Athens, Thessaloniki, Crete, Rhodes and Belgrade, and organizes conferences, corporate and social events, live shows, and festivals. The new studios were fitted with ten Prolights EclPanel TWCJr and six EclCyclorama 100 fixtures, through Kariotis Audio & Lighting, the manufacturer's distributor in the region. Panagiotis Podimatas, CEO of the Group, says: Our group has been a pioneer in the production of events and a member of the international networks AV Alliance and Congress Rental Network, always investing in new technologies and high-quality standards for events." George Porros, lighting designer at the company, adds: "Lighting a green screen is quite simple from a technical point of view. Unlike traditional event lighting which involves finding contrast and mood, balancing light and shadows, lighting a green screen needs smoothness and consistency. The key to achieving soft lighting is to use soft light sources. If you use hard light sources (such as diffused tungsten light) on a green screen, you will run into problems. With that in mind, we decided to use Prolights' products in this application: LED soft light panels and LED cyclorama fixtures, with very high CRI and TLCI, variable colour temperature and frequency control (PWM), fully dimmable with DMX and the overall quality that PROLIGHTS' products offer."
