FiberPlex Appoints Doug Schwartz Western Regional Client Relations Executive

Doug Schwartz, FiberPlex

FiberPlex, the 25-year-old supplier of fiber optics communications, recently appointed pro audio veteran Doug Schwartz as western regional client relations executive.

In his new role with FiberPlex, Schwartz is responsible for providing secure, end-to-end AV systems for a wide variety of applications and clients. Schwartz has been involved in sales and marketing management within the pro audio industry for more than 30 years. Early in his career he worked in the system design and installation business and has spent several years as a sales representative for one of the largest independent pro audio firm in the United States, New West Audio. Schwartz also co-owned and managed one of the most unique pro audio retailers in the industry -- the DAT Store, the only retailer that sold nothing but Digital Audio Tape recorders and accessories. Moving into wholesale distribution, he created Eclectic Electronics, better known as Pacific Supply & Trading Co.

Just prior to joining FiberPlex Technologies, Schwartz was the president and co-founder of iGi Corp, a manufacturer of electronics and accessories for the Apple iPhone, iPod, and iPad products.

He joins new team member Kyle Rosenbloom and government systems expert Mitchell Abel, as well as Bill King and Kellie Comella at FiberPlex, to provide practical fiber optics security solutions to AV integrators seeking to grow their businesses in the live entertainment, broadcast, recording, medical, education, and other audiovisual markets. Rosenbloom is an Infocomm certified technology specialist who has been actively involved in the pro audio and audiovisual industry for more than 18 years. Abel has 30 years of telecommunications and government experience with companies such as Ericsson, Alcatel-Lucent, and Boeing subsidiary DigitalXpress.

FiberPlex has been actively engaged in securing government systems for more than 25 years, and recently hired Schwartz, Rosenbloom, and Abel to extend its technology to commercial sectors faced with similar security requirements.

"Doug and Kyle bring almost 50 years of combined experience in the AV market," comments FiberPlex Technologies CEO Buddy Oliver. "Together with Mitch's 30-plus years in government, we are able to offer integrators not only the technology they need to grow their businesses, but the practical solutions that have been tested over time for hundreds of mission-critical government installations."
