ADJ Prepares to Exhibit New Lighting Products At NAMM 2022 And Also Sponsor The Arena Plaza Stage

After a year's pandemic-induced hiatus, the NAMM show will return to Anaheim, California next month. ADJ is preparing to use the exhibition to reunite with customers and demonstrate a variety of new lighting fixtures that have either been recently launched or will begin to ship over the summer. The company will also be the official sponsor of the outdoor Arena Plaza stage, which will showcase live performances throughout the show lit by ADJ IP65-rated fixtures and amplified by a sound system from sister company Avante Audio.

Usually the first trade show of the year, taking place in early January, this year's NAMM has been pushed back to the middle of the year due to the impact of the global pandemic. Taking place June 3 thru 5, it will see music and live event industry professionals from across the US and around the world gather "en masse" for the first time since early 2020 for hands on product demos and valuable face-to-face networking. ADJ will be found at the heart of the show floor on booth #11233, where the team will be waiting to reunite in person with customers both old and new. The booth will also showcase a variety of recently released and soon to begin shipping professional lighting products, including moving head luminaires, static washes, and multifunctional strobe/blinder/wash LED-powered fixtures.

Having supplied lighting equipment to the Arena Plaza stage for the past couple of years, this year ADJ is stepping up its involvement by becoming the official naming sponsor of the stage. Located in the outdoor area between the Anaheim Convention Center Arena and North Hall, the ADJ Arena Plaza stage will showcase a program of live music performances running throughout the three days of NAMM. It will feature a lighting rig comprised of ADJ's IP65-rated Hydro Series moving head luminaires, which are specifically designed for use on temporary outdoor stages. ADJ's sister company Avante Audio will provide the sound equipment for the stage, demonstrating the impressive capabilities of its Imperio "mini" line array system. There will also be an Avante Audio tent in the Arena Plaza area where NAMM attendees will be able to pick up fun swag.

Sure to be of particular interest to visitors to the ADJ booth will be four new additions to ADJ's Hydro series of IP65-rated moving heads. The Hydro Profile combines an immense 660W LED engine that produces 25,000 Lumens, with an expansive feature set to offer a professional lighting powerhouse. Its beam can be precisely manipulated using a four-blade rotatable framing system, while other key features include a CMY color mixing system combined with a variable CTO flag, a six-slot replaceable color wheel, two GOBO wheels, two rotating prisms, and an animation wheel, as well as motorized zoom (6° ~ 45°), focus and iris. Offering a compact and budget-friendly IP65-rated spot solution, the Hydro Spot 1 features a potent 200W cool white LED and delivers punchy output which can be manipulated using an extensive collection of beam-shaping tools. These include motorized zoom (for a beam angle of 11° ~ 22°), motorized focus, two frost filters, two rotating prisms, six rotating and replaceable GOBOs, and two color wheels. The larger Hydro Spot 2 model is powered by a potent 320W cool white LED engine. It offers 15,000 Lumen output while featuring a wide variety of beam-shaping tools, including an animation wheel, motorized zoom (for a beam angle of 8° ~ 41°) and focus, two frost filters, CMY color mixing along with a variable CTO flag and independent color wheel, two GOBO wheels and two rotating prisms. Finally, the new Hydro Beam X12 is designed to create stunning aerial effects, both inside and outdoors, combining lightning-fast movement with the power of the latest Philips Platinum 12R LL MSD Discharge Lamp technology. The light from this extremely efficient source is focused through high quality optics to create a piercing output with a tight 2° beam angle, the company says.

Also on display for the first time at a major US trade show will be the new Focus Flex. This compact yet potent moving head offers lighting designers the creative flexibility of generating vibrant washes, punchy beams, and eye-catching pixel effects from one compact and quick automated luminaire. It features an array of seven powerful 40W 4-in-1 RGBW color mixing LEDs, each of which can be controlled independently, together with a motorized zoom function which delivers a variable beam angle of between 4° and 32°.

Alongside the already shipping Encore LP18IP, Encore LP12IP, Encore LP7IP, and Encore LP5IP LED par fixtures, NAMM will showcase three new additions to ADJ's IP65-rated Encore Lime Par series of wash fixtures utilizing high output 4-in-1 color mixing LEDs that each include individually controllable red, green, blue and lime elements. On all the fixtures in this range, the inclusion of the lime LED primary color boosts both CRI and perceived brightness as well as filling in gaps in the color spectrum. Each LED is rated at 20W and in addition to a huge gamut of colors is capable of delivering white light with color temperature varying between 2,700K and 7,000K. The new Encore LP32IP is a multifunction fixture, designed to be used interchangeably as a wash, strobe or blinder, which features 32 LEDs arranged in a 4 x 8 matrix and divided into 8 independently controllable zones. The complementary Encore LB15IP is a linear fixture featuring 15 LEDs, which can each be controlled independently. Finally, the Encore Z7LP is a par fixture which combines 7 LEDs with a motorized zoom function offering a variable beam angle of between 5° and 50°.

The Ultra LB18 is another new fixture that will be on display at NAMM 2022. It is a powerful and versatile linear LED wash, designed for permanent installation or temporary event use at indoor locations. It features 18W x 10W 5-in-1 color mixing LEDs (red, green, blue, amber, and lime) and has a beam angle of 17° x 40°. The fixture is supplied with brackets that can be used to set it directly on the ground or attach a clamp for truss mounting and the ends are also magnetic to allow adjacent fixtures to be quickly and easily aligned.

Expanding ADJ's popular COB Cannon series of LED-powered wide angle wash lights, the new COB Cannon LP200ST will also be showcased at the exhibition. Featuring a high output 200W COB (Chip On Board) 5-in-1 LED engine, it combines, in varying intensities, the independent red, green, blue, amber and lime LED elements that make up its light source to allow the creation of a huge spectrum of colors. A compact and versatile fixture with a high CRI, it offers a wide 80-degree native beam angle but is also supplied with both 40° and 50° lens options.

In addition to these brand-new products, ADJ's booth at NAMM will also showcase a variety of recently released fixtures that are already shipping. These will include ADJ's Focus Profile fully-featured and LED-powered moving head framing profile and the Vizi Beam 12RX dedicated beam moving head. Also on display will be the new Jolt Panel FX and Jolt Bar FX multifunctional wash / strobe / blinder fixtures, which each feature a central strip of 5W cool white SMD LEDs surrounded on both sides by arrays of 0.3W RGB SMD LEDs arranged into multiple independently controlled zones. Finally, the Encore FR Pro Color, which is the latest addition to ADJ's range of professional stage lighting fixtures, will also be showcased. It combines a 7" Fresnel lens, motorized zoom, and a potent 400W LED light engine to deliver enhanced color mixing potential and a CRI in excess of 94.

"Two and a half years since the last show, myself and the rest of the ADJ sales team are extremely excited to return to NAMM in June," comments ADJ USA's national sales manager, Alfred Gonzales. "We have a whole host of exciting new products to showcase, both from our booth and the ADJ Arena Plaza stage outside. However, more importantly we're looking forward to reconnecting in person with the many customers and industry friends that we haven't seen since 2020. If you're visiting the show, please be sure to drop by the booth, we can't wait to reunite with you in person!"

NAMM 2022 will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center in California, June 3 thru 5. The ADJ Group of Companies (ADJ Lighting, Eliminator Lighting, Avante Audio, American Audio & Accu-Cable) will be exhibiting from booth #11233 in exhibition hall A, where the company's experienced team of sales and product specialists will be on hand to answer questions and provide one-on-one demos.
