Christian Music Broadcasters and Elite Multimedia Productions Enjoy "Momentum" in Fourth Year Together

Christian Music Broadcasters' Momentum conference with Elite Multimedia Productions.

Elite Multimedia Productions rose to the challenge for the fourth consecutive and record breaking year as the go-to provider for all production needs at the 2014 Christian Music Broadcasters' Momentum conference.

Held at Disney's Yacht & Beach Club Convention Center & Resort, the four-day conference hosted networking events, exceptional speakers, and musical performances by acclaimed Christian music artists. In order to host such an extensive event, the company says CMB places momentous importance on the right production quality.

"We had to create an experience for our attendees that they wouldn't be able to find anywhere else," said CMB executive director Michelle Younkman. "Having a larger than life production for people who go to conferences all over the world required the best of the best to make it beneficial for our artists and the record companies."

Serviced through Elite, an Applied Electronics ground support tower system housed the lighting and PixelFLEX 20mm LED video rigs for the performance stage, while Tyler Truss was used to support the lighting for the side stage reserved for conference speakers.

Projection centered the two stages with Panasonic 10k projectors and DaLite screens. For the first time since CMB and Elite partnered in 2011, IMAG was used for both speakers and artists with the use of Cannon cameras, Fujinon lenses, and a Panasonic video switcher. The addition of IMAG enhanced the experience by bringing the speakers and performers even closer and creating a much more intimate setting to the more than 650 Momentum attendees.

"Momentum has experienced significant growth since our partnership began four years ago, so adding IMAG enabled us to provide a more positive environment for both the attendees and the artists performing," said Tom Wilson, Elite's vice president of event production. "Continuing to grow with CMB has been an absolute pleasure, and we look forward to this event every year."

Lighting for the ballroom stages included Clay Paky Sharpys and K5 Wash fixtures, Martin Professional Mac Auras, Mac 301s, and Mac 700 Profiles, and Chauvet LED Pars and Battons. An EV XLD line array and EV Xline subs were the core of audio production, which was paramount to strengthening the well-established Christian artist performances. Two Avid Profiles and a Midas Pro2c console, Sennheiser G2 in-ear monitors, Shure UXLD and UHFR wireless microphones supported the system, speakers, and performers.

"If an artist gets up there, [the production] really does have an effect on them when it comes to success," said Younkman. "Elite was brought on the year I came on board, and since then we never looked back."
