Blizzard Introduces Five New Moving Head Luminaires at LDI

Blizzard is turning heads with an expansion of their moving head lines at LDI 2018. All the fixtures will be on display at booth 1927, October 19 - 21, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. In addition, Blizzard holds the title for "Best Large Booth Design Award" three years running. Blizzard CEO and chairman of the bored, Will Komassa feels good about his chances for a four-peat.

"It's our most ambitious design yet. Our Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots and 25' classic arcade tower were exceptional, but in 2018 we're shooting for the stars. The design is out of this world."

While he remains tight-lipped about the design concept, he said the new movers and Blizzard's IRiS LED panels will boldly go where no lighting company has gone before. The new fixtures include:

Super-G 150: Featuring an ultra-bright and efficient 150W LED (7,500K) light source and equipped with a seven color plus white color wheel and a three-facet prism with variable direction, variable speed rainbow effects. It comes with one static gobo wheel with seven gobos, and one rotating gobo wheel with six interchangeable gobos plus open. It has high precision glass optics with a 12-degree projection angle. It's as powerful as a full-size moving head yet lives in a compact body, measuring 7" x 11.6" x 15.2" and weighing in at just over 20lb.

Super-G 150 offers 540-degree/260-degree pan/tilt with fine 16-bit adjustments and speed control, smooth dimming, 1- to 25Hz strobe plus effects, auto mode, and sound active mode. It features three user-selectable DMX modes (12-, 13-, 15-channels) allowing easy and flexible programming, plus scan position memory and auto reposition after any unexpected movement. It comes with an easy-to-use four-button control panel with high-resolution TFT LCD display, industry-standard powerCON connections, and DMX three-pin in/out jacks.

N-Trance: It's mesmerizing and mind-blowing. It may even take the user to a whole new dimension and show the secrets of the universe. It's fitted with an ultra-bright 2-degree white LED for sharp beam effects, plus a stunning ring with 86 RGB three-in-one SMD5050 LEDs. It performs captivating dual-layer effects and wields mastery over solid color changes, fade effects, chase effects with speed control plus variable tracer length, plus has full pixel mapping capabilities. The beam has a 14-color wheel (plus white and split colors) and comes with a static gobo wheel with 21 gobos. It offers user-selectable 540-degree/640-degree pan and 270-degree tilt with fine 16-bit adjustments and speed control, six/eight-facet prism, and smooth dimming. It features 1- to 25Hz strobe plus effects, auto mode, and sound active mode.

N-Trance has three user-selectable DMX modes (21, 44, 128 DMX channels) and features an intuitive four-button control panel with high-resolution TFT LCD display. It comes with industry standard powerCON connections, RJ45 in/out, DMX 3three- or five-pin in/out jacks, and two quarter-turn Omega clamp brackets for quick and easy setup.

Redstone Line: A new fixture line consisting of Redstone 300 Profile, 440 Profile, and 240Z wash join the Super-G and N-Trance at LDI.
