MEGA-LITE's Vintage Scoop Q32 at the Academy of Country Music AwardsMEGA-LITE gear was featured in a key performance at this year's Academy of Country Music Awards (ACM), which celebrates the top achievements in the country music industry each year. The 2025 show was held on May 8 at Ford Field, located within The Star in Frisco, Texas. With over 14,000 attendees and 16 live performances, the event was streamed live on Amazon Prime and available on demand for subscribers. During Cody Johnson's performance, lighting designers Travis Hagenbuch and Michael Berger of 22 Degrees, utilized 25 of MEGA-LITE's Vintage Scoop Q32 fixtures. Designed with a classic vintage aesthetic, the Q32 features a 32W RGBWW LED and a reflective gold scoop to enhance the depth and richness of saturated colors. The Vintage Scoops were mounted on rolling towers using their double mounting yokes, then arranged in a semi-circle around Johnson's band. This setup created a visual wall that pulsed and glowed in sync with the emotional highs and lows of the performance, shifting seamlessly from cool white to warm white as Johnson's performance progressed. "I loved the look of them and how it was a slightly different take on these kinds of fixtures already on the market," shares Berger. "A bonus, which wound up working out incredibly well, was that the center of the light matched the center void of a PRG 5L, which made up a lot of our existing rig." Part of MEGA-LITE's Deco Line series, the Vintage Scoop Q32 supports Voltage over Ethernet and connects seamlessly to the Tetra Drivers 4 and 16 for simplified power and control.
