Alfatron Electronics Announces the ALF USB3 EXT USB 3.0 Extender Alfatron Electronics introduces the ALF-USB3-EXT USB 3.0 over CAT extender. With the ability to transmit over CAT6/6A/7 cabling systems to a distance of 80m (295'), the ALF-USB3-EXT is billed as the ideal solution for extending the reach of USB peripheral devices such as cameras, microphones, digital signal processors (DSP'S), video bars, and other USB devices -- enabling presenters and others to have their equipment placed where they need it as opposed to being restricted by limited cable reach. The ALF-USB3-EXT consists of two modules: a receiver (RX) and transmitter (TX). With four-ports for USB 3.0 device connections, the ALF-USB3-EXT is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and USB1.1, resulting in the ability to connect a wide range of equipment. It also functions as a USB hub. The transmitter supports USB 3.0 Super-Speed and is compatible with USB 3.2 Gen1x1, and USB 3.1 Gen1. Together, they form a system that extends the reach of many different types of devices -- free from any delays that may be encountered with other types of extender products.
