Spikemark Vantis Officially Joins the Spikemark Ecosystem

Spikemark Vantis is a handheld pendant built for day-to-day facility use, offering easy jogging, grouped motion, and preset recall while remaining fully integrated with the powerful Spikemark Ecosystem, the company says.

Creative Conners, now a part of the Wenger and J.R. Clancy family, announces Spikemark Vantis as an official part of the Spikemark Ecosystem. Designed to support unified, scalable motion control, Spikemark Vantis expands access to modern automation across a wide range of performance facilities.

Spikemark Vantis is a handheld pendant built for day-to-day facility use, offering easy jogging, grouped motion, and preset recall while remaining fully integrated with the powerful Spikemark Ecosystem. Operators can jog and group axes, record presets, and reliably run looks. Complex cueing can be achieved through Spikemark as the production needs grow. Throughout this process, existing systems can stay in place, eliminating the need for replacing expensive hardware, the company says.

Challenges of a Mixed System Modern venues are often equipped with a combination of hoists, winches, drives, and control systems from multiple manufacturers. Historically, finding a way to make these systems work together required replacement, reprograming, or renovation at significant cost or disruption. A Part of a Unified Ecosystem Spikemark is not just a standalone software, controller or other component. It is a complete motion-control ecosystem that brings together software, controllers, and safety systems into a unified programing and operating environment regardless of what hardware you already have in place. Spikemark Vantis is a part of this ecosystem allowing venues to "keep the machines and upgrade the brain."

By unifying communication and control layers, Spikemark Vantis speeds up load-ins and reduces maintenance. Spikemark Vantis in Action Andy Knapp, Performing Arts Product Manager at Wenger Corporation, explains: "Spikemark delivers a truly unified control system, controlling motors while also triggering other show control systems to bring simplicity and efficiency to complex productions. Safety is enhanced through a single emergency stop chain that halts all motion instantly, while the platform's scalability allows users to start with basic jog or move-to-position control using Spikemark Vantis and seamlessly grow into full show control and cueing through the power of Spikemark Console. Spikemark controls represent a future-ready approach to rigging that evolves alongside both the production and the space."

Safety by Design Safety is a foundational part of the Spikemark ecosystem. "All control components are manufactured in a UL-listed panel facility. Showstoppers emergency stop products are designed with SIL- 3 rated components and capable of triggering Cat 0 or Cat 1 e-stops." This safety architecture is in place to protect all people, equipment, and facilities while delivering reliable stopping performance. Purpose-Built Entry Point With its intuitive touchscreen interface, and customizable roles, Spikemark Vantis creates immediate results with minimal training. As the needs of productions and facilities change and evolve, the system adapts seamlessly into full Spikemark automation without replacing hardware or retraining operators.
