ADTECHNO Introduces AEX-01UTR USB & 4K120Hz Extension System

ADTECHNO Inc. has announced the launch of the AEX-01UTR USB & 4K120Hz Extension System, a next-generation AV extension solution that enables USB 3.2 Gen1 devices, 4K120Hz video, and RS-232 control signals to be transmitted up to 100m over a conventional CAT5e cable.

The AEX-01UTR consists of a transmitter unit and a receiver unit operating as a dedicated Point-to-Point (P2P) extension system. Designed for modern AV and collaboration environments, it combines longdistance USB extension, ultra-high-definition video transmission, and subframe latency performance in a compact and easy-to-deploy platform. It is ideally suited for conference rooms, educational facilities, streaming studios, live production environments, Esports venues, and other professional AV applications where reliable video and USB connectivity are required over extended distances.

At the core of the AEX-01UTR is an advanced video transmission engine utilizing high-efficiency video compression technology, enabling high-quality HDMI 2.1 4K120Hz video transmission over conventional CAT5e cabling without the need for specialized infrastructure.

Despite its high compression efficiency, the dedicated SoC architecture is said to deliver subframe latency performance, making the AEX-01UTR particularly well suited for competitive gaming, live events, and other latency-sensitive applications where real-time responsiveness is essential.

The system employs an IEEE-based transmission architecture optimized for stable long-distance signal transport, helping ensure reliable video and data transmission even in electrically noisy environments and over extended cable runs.

On the transmitter side, the AEX-01UTR supports both HDMI and USB-C DisplayPort Alt Mode (DP Alt Mode) video inputs and automatically switches between them by detecting a valid active video signal, providing seamless and reliable source selection without manual intervention.

In addition to video transmission, the AEX-01UTR simultaneously extends USB 3.2 Gen1 device connectivity and RS-232 serial communication over a single CAT5e cable. The system supports USB 3.2 Gen1 full-duplex communication, delivering smooth and responsive USB connectivity for webcams, UVC capture devices, touch panels, and other interactive USB peripherals. This makes it an ideal solution for hybrid meeting rooms, educational environments, collaboration spaces, and professional production workflows.

The transmitter unit features an HDMI loop-out port for local monitoring and flexible system integration. Dedicated mounting brackets are included for convenient installation behind displays or inside equipment racks.

To simplify deployment, the AEX-01UTR incorporates bidirectional PoC (Power over Cable) technology. By connecting the included power adapter to either the transmitter or receiver unit, power is automatically delivered to the paired unit through the CAT5e cable, reducing installation complexity and minimizing power outlet requirements.
