Adam Hall's Cameo Launches CONNECT, Digital Setup and Support SolutionWith Cameo CONNECT app and software, Adam Hall's Cameo is introducing a new digital workflow solution for supported Cameo fixtures. The focus here is not solely on the software or app as an individual tool, but on a new, comprehensive service experience that supports users throughout the entire lifecycle of a fixture -- from preparation and configuration through to setup and servicing, firmware updates, rental return processes and preparation for its next use. In this way, Cameo CONNECT seeks to simplify key workflows before, during and after the use of professional lighting equipment. Cameo CONNECT has been developed for day-to-day workflows in the rental/dry hire, production, touring, warehousing and service sectors. Using the software (Windows) and app (iOS, Android), users can reduce the time spent on repetitive manual tasks, minimize sources of error during setup, speed up service processes and make firmware management more efficient. This means that supported Cameo fixtures can be prepared and configured remotely before use by creating settings, saving them as templates, and sharing them with the teams on site. During setup, these configurations are then transferred contactlessly to the relevant fixture via NFC (Near Field Communication) without the need for a wired connection and even without the lights being powered on. Cameo CONNECT also has a number of practical workflows in place for servicing. Using NFC, users are able to retrieve relevant fixture information, configuration data, and service information directly and compile it for a support enquiry. Instead of manually compiling serial numbers, photos of the display, or log information, the app offers an efficient way to quickly pass on all relevant data to Cameo Customer Service. This reduces the need for follow-up enquiries and enables a more targeted analysis of errors. In addition, QR codes for each model provide quick access to technical resources such as manuals, downloads, photometric data, DMX charts and more. A direct link to the relevant Cameo product page is also provided for each fixture. Another key focus of Cameo CONNECT is on the typical rental and storage processes when the lights are not in use. They can be reset to their factory settings via NFC -- even when switched off and while still in their flight case. The reset command will then be executed the next time the device is switched on. For rental companies and warehouse teams, this feature helps speed up the return process and ensures that the equipment is in a clearly defined condition ready for its next use. In addition, Cameo CONNECT supports professional firmware workflows for larger fleets of devices. Via cloud-based firmware management, the software checks for available firmware versions online and supports simultaneous update processes for multiple models. The firmware updates are based on the current ESTA standard E1.37-4 and incorporate mechanisms for detecting corrupted data and for safely aborting faulty transmission and installation processes. Furthermore, the luminaires compatible with Cameo CONNECT are equipped with recovery and rescue mechanisms to enable them to be brought back into operation quickly. At the time of its launch, Cameo CONNECT supports the Cameo ZENIT G2 series and the 600-watt models in the OPUS series. Cameo CONNECT is now available as a free download for iOS, Windows, and Android. For more information: cameolight.com/CameoCONNECT blog.adamhall.com
