Jules Fisher, Paul Marantz, and Charles Stone to Receive the 2025 ICON Award at the Beacon AwardsThe Designers Lighting Forum New York (DLFNY) has the honor of presenting the founders of Fisher Marantz Stone (FMS) -- Jules Fisher, Paul Marantz (posthumously), and Charles Stone with 2025 ICON Awards at the Beacon Awards ceremony to be held on October 29. ICONs are individuals, firms, or companies worthy of veneration for their commitment to advancing the impact of lighting within the built environment and their commitment to the Greater New York Metro Design community. "On behalf of the Beacon Awards Committee," says Charles Pavarini III, chair of the Committee, "I have the privilege to announce we will be honoring these three lighting industry giants with ICON Awards and memorializing the life and legacy of Paul Marantz." The committee's selection of the FMS founders was unanimously approved by the DLFNY Board. Now in its second year, the Beacon Awards, presented by DLFNY also honors outstanding achievements in lighting in 2025 by practitioners in the Greater New York Metropolitan design community. Awards will be presented in ten categories -- commercial interiors, cultural institutions, exteriors, retail, residential, hospitality, architectural product design, decorative product design, experiential, and New York project. Submissions are open until September 15.
