TMS Announces New Ownership

At the Omaha-based production company Theatrical Media Services (TMS), three longtime employees -- John Hansen, Michael Arch, and Jamie Hurst -- have taken ownership of the company. The three new owners, who began their careers with TMS, bring over 60 years of combined experience spanning technical production, design, touring, and integration.

Speaking of the company's founders, Mark Huber and the late Timothy Kohlmeyer, Hansen, the new TMS president, says, "They built something that mattered, and we are proud to continue their legacy."

"We didn't step into this role to change the company -- we stepped in to protect what makes it special," adds Arch, vice president of production. "This is about taking care of the team that built this company, honoring the relationships that keep us working, and positioning TMS for the growth that will carry us into the future. We're a family, and we're proud to lead with that."

TMS has operated out of Omaha for over three decades, providing full-scale production services and permanent sound and light installations to a wide range of clients. The company's touring resume includes Dave Matthews Band, Bob Dylan, The Flaming Lips, Modest Mouse, Switchfoot, and Ray Lamontagne, along with extensive festival production nationwide. In their hometown, TMS has provided production support for the University of Nebraska, Mutual of Omaha, Mannheim Steamroller, Berkshire Hathaway, and Omaha Performing Arts, among others.

"We've spent our careers building systems that bring productions to life, from touring shows to permanent installations. Stepping into ownership means we can ensure that level of craftsmanship and care continues for decades to come -- while also building for the next chapter of growth," adds Hurst, vice president of integration.
