Amazonico Miami Opens with NEXO Sound Originally launched in 2016 by husband-and-wife team and renowned restauranteurs Sandro Silva and Marta Seco, Amazonico quickly became one of Madrid's most-popular and well-loved restaurants. Open from lunch until late and inspired by the cultural diversity and gastronomic heritage of the Amazon region, Amazonico's unique blend of exciting cuisine, signature cocktails and vibrant music can now be experienced at locations including London, Dubai, Monte Carlo and, most recently, at the spectacular new Amazonico Miami which opened in September 2025. Located downtown on Brickell Avenue, the new restaurant covers 3,500 m2 over three levels. Indoors and on an outside terrace, the ground floor restaurant invites guests into a tropical setting of lush greenery, volcanic stone and woven textures. The open kitchen offers front-row views of dishes being prepared while live bands set the tone each evening with jazz, bossa nova, and Cuban rhythms. In the second floor Bar & Lounge, mirrored ceilings, rich textures and statement design details nod to Latin American modernism and chefs prepare signature Crudos, Nigiris and Makis behind a Sushi Counter and bar. Sets from resident DJs and live percussionists bring a pulsating energy to the room while a private, jungle-inspired dining room seats up to 14 guests for a more intimate experience. A standout feature of Amazonico Miami is the rooftop: an elevated, nocturnal setting that draws guests deeper into the wild with its peacock bar and LED-panelled DJ booth setting the tone for evenings of rhythm, energy, and refined mixology above the city skyline. With music clearly central to the Amazonico guest experience, the choice of sound system was always going to be an important one, with the apparently competing requirements of plenty of power and headroom to create a party vibe, along with a compact, visually discreet form factor that wouldn't impose itself too heavily on the restaurant's exquisite interior design. Following the successful installation last year at Amazonico in Monte Carlo, the restaurant team contacted the Nice-based live event technology and system integration specialists Dushow where technical manager Jeremy Cierco in collaboration with independent consultant Yves Hubert once again proposed a NEXO system for the Miami venue, supplemented with Yamaha ceiling speakers. The ground floor restaurant area with a stage straddling indoor and outdoor areas is equipped with 24 NEXO P8 and four P10 from the company's industry-standard P+ Series point source range, along with 11 NEXO IDS210 and four IDS110 subs, plus a single Nexo ePS6. In the second-floor lounge, a total of 19 NEXO P10s are supplemented by four L15, five IDS210, and one IDS312 sub, along with an additional two P8s for DJ monitors. The Private Dining Room is equipped with two ePS6s from NEXO's "install only" ePS range with a single IDS110 sub. And at the top, the indoor area is equipped with 11 NEXO P12s with three L15 and six IDS312 subs, plus two more P8s for DJ monitors. Outside on the rooftop are 13 NEXO ePS6s with eight IDS110s and one IDS210 sub, and a further pair of P8 DJ monitors. The system which combines the potential very high SPL with great clarity and finesse is powered by 25 of NEXO's NXAMPMk2 Powered TD Controllers, with sources and amplifiers managed by a Symetrix Prism 8 x 8 processor using Dante. DJs and musicians can connect using conveniently located Auvitran AV-Wall XLR/Bluetooth panels and staff can manage the entire audio system using a Symetrix Control Server, allowing the creation of a custom remote control accessible via a web page, and then via eight Symetrix W1 and W4 wall-mounted remote controls located on each level. "The customer is very pleased with the performance and the aesthetics of the new system," comments consultant Yves Hubert, "and also how easy it is for the restaurant staff to control." Commenting on the installation, NEXO sales manager for the South of France Stephane Brocard says "Amazonico sets an incredibly high standard of guest experience and, once again, the team at Dushow has made a great system design bringing world-class sound to the new Amazonico in Miami."
