InterAmerica Stage Announces New Additions to its Team

(l-r) Paul Skidmore, Aaron Black, and Iris Williams

InterAmerica Stage welcomes new members to its team, including Paul Skidmore as its new business development sales manager. In his new position, Skidmore will be responsible for building and expanding IA Stage's market position by developing strong business relationships and generating new sales leads.

Skidmore's vast experience in the live entertainment industry spans over several decades, having first entered the field in 1984. He holds degrees in both Telecommunications and Organizational Management. His passion for the entertainment industry began when he first started working on event productions at Syracuse University. Over the years, Skidmore worked on numerous high-profile concert tours, including those of legendary musicians such as Billy Joel, The Rolling Stones, and The Who. As a touring concert rigger, he developed an extensive skillset, including the ability to manage and troubleshoot complex technical issues. His expertise and experience in the field make him uniquely qualified to take on his new role at IA Stage. "We are confident that Paul's contributions will help us achieve our goals of expanding our market reach and delivering top-quality services to our clients" says Pete Borchetta, COO of IA Stage.

After leaving the touring life in 1992, he began working at JR Clancy, which was instrumental in shaping his career. Skidmore went on to serve in various capacities in the industry and has garnered valuable insights into the workings of the field.

Always been an admirer of InterAmerica Stage, which he believes has a creative, hard-working philosophy and a long history of outstanding work, Skidmore is thrilled to join the company, as it presents a new and exciting challenge for him. "I am excited to be part of a team that has a proven track record of delivering excellence," says Skidmore.

Borchetta enthusiastically announces that IA Stage is thrilled to have Paul on board as a part of the team, stating, "As IA Stage continues to grow, Paul's incredible skill set, passion, drive, and contagious energy for the industry make him an invaluable asset to the team. We are confident that Paul's caliber and expertise will elevate IA Stage's growth to new heights," adding, "We at IA Stage are more than confident that Paul's skills and experience will enable him to contribute positively to the company's growth and success."

InterAmerica Stage (IA Stage) is also expanding its presence in the Asia-Pacific and Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) regions by adding a familiar face to its new territory. Aaron Black is joining the team in the Asia-Pacific region as the new international business and sales manager. Black is not new to IA Stage, as he literally grew up with the company and was a key collaborator in one of the company's core products, Sky Deck, and its patents. "It is a pleasure to be working with Aaron in this role," says Borchetta. "Aaron is a problem solver and a creative thinker who thinks outside of the box. His demeanor and overall business acumen will help set IA Stage apart."

Black will head up IA Stage's newest office in Toyko, Japan, extending the company's reach for international business. He holds a BS in Business Economics from Tokyo International University, specializing in Digital Marketing, Project Management, and Team Leadership, qualifications that make him the perfect choice for this key position. "I'm excited to make the most of this new position with IA Stage," says Black. "We've always been an international company and I'm honored to be a part of the awesome team that helps bring our products and services to the far corners of the globe."

Black has held various positions within IA Stage, starting from the shop floor and working in every aspect of the business over the past two decades. His knowledge of the IA Stage business, products, and most importantly its customers, is a keystone in the growth of IA Stage internationally.

Finally, InterAmerica Stage (IA Stage) shares that Iris Williams has been promoted to the position of sales engineer, exemplifying IA Stage's culture of providing growth opportunities to its employees. In her new role as sales engineer, Williams will be responsible for supporting the sales team with their technical needs. "Her expertise in engineering and technical theatre will prove a huge asset to our sales team," says Mark Black, president/CEO of IA Stage.

Williams started her journey with IA Stage in June 2022 as a draftsperson, but her passion for theatre and the arts has been evident since high school. During her senior year, she led her team to win first place at the World Finals while participating in Odyssey of the Mind, which sparked her love for technical theatre. Williams went on to earn an Engineering degree from Sweet Briar College while also working in the admissions office and theatre. Her background in technical theatre and engineering makes her an ideal candidate for her new role with IA Stage's sales team.

"Iris's transition to the Sales department is a natural one," says Mark Black, adding, "She has the knowledge and experience to support our sales team in a technical capacity. We are excited to see her succeed in her new role as she continues to nurture her passion for theatre and the arts while contributing to the growth of the company."
