PASS on Any Platform

Searching with PASS online.

The Pro Audio Social Stream (PASS), is now available on any device following the launch of its new website found at the URL below. Pro audio, AV, and broadcast professionals are now able to connect on the industry's only dedicated social network for free, no matter what platform they are using.

Previously only available on iOS devices such as the iPad and iPhone, the new release comes almost a year after PASS was first launched as an app, available for free download from the Apple App Store. Thousands of users signed up globally for the social network, which is designed to connect members of the industry around the world via the sharing of thoughts, photographs, links, private messages, and more. PASS can now be used on any web-enabled device including Android phones and tablets, desktop PCs and Macs, via www.proaudiosocialstream.com. Additionally, a much-requested feature in the new version of PASS allows users to log-in to the Social Stream using their Facebook username and password.

"Since we launched the PASS iOS app last year, we have had thousands of industry professionals from all over the world sign up. However, we regularly had people asking if they could use PASS on Android or desktop," says Richard Lawn, general manager of Blank Canvas Publishing, the company behind PASS. "With the launch of www.proaudiosocialstream.com they now can. With this new release, we have listened to what the industry is asking for and created a platform for everyone, no matter what the device."

The social network has received a ground-up re-build to offer users the best possible experience on any platform, recreating all the features and functionality of the iOS app. Users are initially greeted with a login screen. While existing users can log straight in with their existing details, new members are invited to fill in their details or use existing ones from Facebook. Once logged-in to the desktop version, as with the app, the site will remember the user's details so they can always return straight to their stream without re-entering any information, unless the user logs out.

Once inside, existing users will find a very familiar experience. The same functionality for posting pictures, links, and thoughts into the stream from any part of the site is there, as is the popular direct messaging feature. The education section is taken care of by a direct link to sister site www.proaudioeducation.com, where all the educational video content is hosted. Importantly, the website and the iOS app are compatible and linked. So the user's stream will always be up to date, no matter which device they are using, and any notifications will still come to the user's iOS device.

"We're incredibly happy with the end result and we can't wait to see everyone on there and taking advantage of this industry resource," concludes Lawn.
