Universal Pixels Chooses Brompton Technology LED Processing to Power Robbie Williams' BRITPOP Tour 2025 Brompton Technology has been selected by UK-based Universal Pixels (UP) to deliver the visuals on Robbie Williams' BRITPOP Tour 2025. The 14th concert tour by the English singer-songwriter, BRITPOP marks Williams' long-awaited return to stadiums and major outdoor venues in support of his upcoming 13th studio album. With creative direction by Kim Gavin, the show's ambitious design features 14 seamlessly integrated LED screens, brought together using Brompton's LED processing to create a unified visual canvas. "Brompton is tried and tested for us," comments Matthew Morris, technical specialist at Universal Pixels. "We've relied on its Tessera processors across many touring shows over the years, so the technology was familiar to us and the crew, delivered great reliability, and came with excellent support. For a large-scale and high-profile tour like this, Brompton was the natural choice." To meet the creative brief, UP deployed a combination of ROE Visual V8T, V4ST, ROE strips and INFiLED ER5 panels, all powered by 4K Tessera SX40 LED processors. Ahead of the tour, UP calibrated its INFiLED ER5 inventory with Brompton's Hydra advanced measurement system to standardize color management across the different LED types. This allowed the entire system to perform as one consistent canvas, ensuring seamless visuals across all 14 screens. "Brompton's color correction tools and calibration workflows gave us the flexibility to blend multiple LED products together, while achieving the visual consistency needed to realize Kim Gavin's creative vision," Morris adds. The video system was further supported by two Disguise GX3 media servers, running on Disguise Designer and Live Grade Studio software to manage the complex visual workflow. A multi-camera package, comprising eight Panasonic UCX100 cameras and five Blackmagic Micro G2 Minis, ensured dynamic live capture that integrated seamlessly with the LED visuals. With live color grading a key part of the production, in addition to Brompton's color toolset, its API integration with third-party software was vital in ensuring Robbie looked his best throughout the show. "Color accuracy was essential, especially with changing lighting and weather conditions in outdoor stadiums," continues Morris. "Brompton's Tessera platform gave us the control to fine-tune in real time, and with its API integration with Live Grade we could seamlessly apply grading across all screen positions. The result was a consistently accurate look across the entire stage." The team also benefited from Tessera's flexibility and real-time adjustment capabilities during the production period. "Creative changes were happening right up until the first show in Edinburgh," says Morris. "Being able to push test patterns and line-up grids from the processors meant different departments could work independently without delays. Brompton's reliability and resilience also ensured there were no hold-ups, even with last-minute adjustments." "Universal Pixels has once again demonstrated what can be achieved when technical excellence and creative ambition come together on the global stage," concludes Patrick Goodden, Brompton's technical sales manager (UK and Ireland). "We are proud that our Tessera LED processors played such an important role in delivering Robbie Williams' BRITPOP Tour 2025, ensuring a reliable and flexible solution that helped bring this spectacular production to life."
