Bandit Lites Nominated Once Again for Parnelli Award for Lighting Company of the Year Bandit Lites announce that it has once again been nominated for the Parnelli Award for Lighting Company of the Year for its work on the Billy Strings tour. Teaming up with lighting designer Saxton Waller made for a jaw-dropping visual spectacle. Bandit remains the only firm to have been nominated every year since the inception of the Parnelli Awards. Bandit Lites currently has nine Parnelli Awards and 31 global industry awards overall. Bandit Lites is also celebrating Andy Knighton, who has been nominated for Lighting Director of the Year for his work with country music singer Jason Aldean. Knighton's career spans more than four decades, including 28 years with Bandit Lites, and features an impressive list of artists such as Rascal Flatts, Brooks & Dunn, Reba McEntire, and Corbin Easton. Knighton previously earned the 2018 Parnelli Award for Lighting Director of the Year. "Being nominated for a Parnelli means the world to me! I'm still trying to figure out how that happened," shares Knighton. "When you hear and read that you're in a list of champions, you can't help but look in the mirror and feel proud. It's rewarding to still be relevant. Being a lighting director is more than just pressing buttons -- alterations to both programming and design occur almost daily, and everybody looks at you to make those changes. I've always had the ability to think fast and create solutions...that's the only thing I know how to do." Knighton went on to credit Bandit Lites and the team behind each production for his success: "Bandit Lites is more than simply a gear provider. This nomination is an exact example -- there is more to Bandit than just a paycheck. Bandit has allowed me to create relationships in the industry that I would have never been able to develop on my own. I wear the Bandit badge with honor and pride -- without that badge, the accomplishments I've achieved would have a very different face." He concludes, "Hearing your name recited in a list of all-star associates, all worthy of a Parnelli Award, is indeed a satisfying and humbling moment. You just don't get to this moment by yourself." Bandit chair and founder Michael T. Strickland adds, "Bandit is incredibly honored to again be nominated for this defining award. All of the amazing team members at Bandit strive every day to assure everyone will Experience Excellence, and this nomination lets us know we have done just that. We want to give a big thank you to all the people that nominated Bandit in this great industry."
