ADJ Launches Entour Pileus Hybrid Fog/Faze Machine

	To maximize versatility, the product features dual 5.6-liter fluid tanks.

ADJ introduces the Entour Pileus, a professional atmospheric effects generator that combines high-output fog and fine faze capabilities in one versatile, road-ready unit.

The latest addition to the company's Entour Series, the Entour Pileus uses standard water-based fluid to generate everything from dense, dramatic plumes of fog to a fine atmospheric mist. This dual-purpose functionality allows a single machine to adapt to the changing atmospheric requirements of any production, the company says.

At the heart of the Entour Pileus is a 1,500W heating element that produces up to 60,000 cu. ft. per minute. Combined with a variable-speed dispersion fan, the machine offers precise control over both atmospheric density and coverage. Fog output and fan speed are independently adjustable from 5% to 100.

The unit is ready to perform in just 16.5 minutes thanks to its fast warm-up system. It can generate continuous maximum output for up to 35 seconds, while an intelligent "continuous mode" automatically regulates fluid consumption.

To maximize versatility, the product features dual 5.6-liter fluid tanks. Operators can fill both and then quickly switch between them mid-show for applications that demand massive output over an extended operating period.

Built for life on the road, the machine is housed in a rugged integrated flight case fitted with locking heavy-duty castors, making transportation and deployment quick and straightforward. It also incorporates an advanced self-cleaning system to reduce maintenance requirements, as well as overvoltage protection (OVP) for reliable operation in demanding professional environments.

An intuitive LCD display with a four-button interface provides access to onboard timer and operating functions, while the fixture can also be controlled via an optional wired remote connected through a four-pin XLR input. For integration into professional lighting systems, the product offers five-pin DMX input and output with selectable one-, two-, and four-channel operating modes.

Power is supplied to the unit via two independent locking input connectors: One supplies the heating element and control electronics, and another is dedicated to the fan. This allows the unit to be connected to two independent 120V 15A power circuits and supply the unit's maximum power draw of 17.9A in venues where a dedicated 20A circuit is not available.
