Automation Training with Stage Technologies Las Vegas

Stage Technologies Las Vegas announces the latest schedule of its popular three-day training course, An Introduction to Automation and the eChameleon Suite. The first session dates are August 1- 3 inclusive, with dates for last-quarter training sessions to be announced later in the year. This course is aimed at programmers and operators as well as professionals from other disciplines interested in learning the features of eChameleon software.

Utilizing Stage Technologies control interfaces, delegates will be given an opportunity to get hands on with eChameleon and learn some of the current techniques and principles used to plot and run some of the biggest shows in the world. eChameleon is the common software platform across all Stage Technologies control consoles, offering, the company says, unrivalled ease of use, power, and flexibility. It is the next generation of Chameleon software, simplifying the concepts of its predecessors while enhancing the deeper functionality aimed at running the most demanding of performances. The software is easy to learn and fast to operate, making eChameleon suitable for all scales of automation systems, from small school theatres to the largest of casino shows.

The three-day course will cover the fundamentals of automation in entertainment: how, where and why we use it; the basics of automation theory; and all the steps required to build and plot a show within eChameleon. Trainers use a combination of media including presentations, videos and working examples to make the learning experience as effective as possible.

Course expectations:
• A basic understanding of automation use and best practice
• Understanding of terminology and architecture of automation systems
• Good understanding of eChameleon features and functionality

The course will be held in the Cirque du Soleil Training Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will be limited to the first 10 applicants. Pricing is $1,200 per applicant; it includes coffee, refreshments, and a light lunch. (Note: accommodation must be organized by individual delegates).
