John Summit's Historic Boulder Show Sets a New Standard for EDM Production with Concert Stuff Group

"This show wasn't just about producing the biggest John Summit concert to date," says Brammer. "It was about setting a new benchmark for how dance music can be presented on a grand scale."

On October 18, 38,000 fans filled Folsom Field to witness what many are calling a defining moment for live electronic music. John Summit's largest headline show to date wasn't just another stop on his meteoric rise -- it was a masterclass in large-scale production, collaboration, and innovation that showcased how the future of EDM events could look.

Behind the spectacle was a lineup of production companies under Heavy Global and the Concert Stuff Group banner -- including Special Event Services, Special Event Transportation, G2 Structures, Guardian Barrier Services, Field Protection Agency, and 7 Cinematics -- while AEG Presents coordinated event promotion and ticketing. Together, a production of staggering scope and technical precision transformed the University of Colorado's iconic stadium into a full-scale dance cathedral.

The effort took months of planning and coordination between the teams. Heavy Global, known for producing Summit's concerts, including the sold-out Madison Square Garden show earlier this year, worked with Cour Design for the design and execution of the Boulder event, elevating every aspect of scale and spectacle. SES provided the massive LED wall, lighting, and audio infrastructure, while SET coordinated the transport of hundreds of thousands of pounds of this production gear. G2 Structures engineered the stage, towering roof system, and delay audio towers that also supported the elaborate lighting and pyro displays. FPA used over 80,000 sq. ft. of flooring to cover and protect the UC Buffalo's sacred ground.

Helping safeguard the flow of the dancing fans was Guardian Barrier Services, who deployed 400' of barrier, creating controlled zones that allowed the energy of the crowd to build without compromising comfort or visibility. In addition, they supplied 450' of cable ramps and a 64'-by- 8' ADA platform.

7 Cinematics assisted Summit's media team by capturing the experience throughout load-in, all the way through the show and load-out, using multi-camera systems, translating the energy of the field into a cinematic narrative that matched the magnitude of the performance itself.

Pyrotecnico provided an exceptional pyrotechnic program featuring expertly timed flames and fireworks, integrated with the show's design to enhance the audience experience.

With AEG Presents managing ticketing, venue and local authority relations, and fan experience, the event reached full capacity, demonstrating the growing appetite for large-format hard-ticket EDM shows built with the same production sophistication as other top-tier stadium tours and festivals.

"This show wasn't just about producing the biggest John Summit concert to date," says Jim Brammer, CEO of Concert Stuff Group. "It was about setting a new benchmark for how dance music can be presented on a grand scale -- with the same attention you'd expect from the biggest live productions in the world."

For John Summit, the Boulder performance represented more than a career milestone -- it was a statement about where the genre is headed. EDM, long known for its festival circuit and club roots, proved that it can thrive in full stadium settings when production, promotion, and creativity align.

The event also marked another collaboration between Summit and Heavy Global, who continue to redefine what's possible in live electronic performance design. "What happened at Folsom Field was the result of hundreds of people across multiple companies working together seamlessly," says Asher Luber, partner of Heavy Global. "When you bring in partners like Concert Stuff Group, AEG Presents, Cour Design, Pyrotechnico and John's own creative team, you can create moments that go beyond music -- you create shared history."

As the crowd poured out into the Boulder night, it was clear that this wasn't just another show -- it was a landmark for EDM as a whole. The production, precision, and energy on display proved that the genre's next era will be defined not only by the music, but by the teams capable of turning vision into experience on a scale few thought possible.
