Musician Hall of Fame Induction Lit by Bandit Lites

Garth Brooks performs at the Musician Hall of Fame induction

It was a once in a life time performance as The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum held its 2016 induction ceremony. Bandit Lites provided the lighting for the evening which featured performances from Peter Frampton, Kenny G, Bruce Hornsby, Steve Warnier, Melinda Doolittle, along with the inductees at the Municipal Auditorium October 24.

Garth Brooks and his band, The G-Men were inducted as Hall of Fame Performers. Garth Brooks, who was also recently named Entertainer of the Year by the Country Music Association, is the first artist in history to have seven albums sell more than 10 million albums each, earning him seven Diamond Awards from the Recording Industry Association of America. Bandit Lites is honored to not only be Brooks' lighting vendor of choice since he began touring, but counts him as a cherished member of the Bandit family.

Utilizing Mark Carver's design from previous inductions, lighting director David "Gig" Butlzer was able to craft an evening fit for the musical icons being honored.

Bandit supplied Philips Vari-Lite VL 3500 Spots, VL 3000 Spots, VL 3500 Washes, GLP impression X4S luminaires, and an MA Lighting grandMA 1 full console for control.

Additional inductees included the late musician Jerry Reed, music prodigy Ricky Skaggs, Sigma Sound Studio Rhythm Section, Mark Miller, Lou Bradley, Ron "Snake" Reynolds, and Joe Tarsia, while Don Felder's guitar work on the Eagles' Hotel California was gifted the Iconic Riff Award and Allen Reynolds was presented with the Production Award.

"What a night," finished host, Kenny G. "Super impressive: I've seen things I've never seen before. It's been an honor. This music is the fabric of our lives."
