Cadac Announces the Departure of Bob Thomas

Cadac Holdings has announced the departure of director of sales Bob Thomas, who is leaving to pursue personal business interests.

The professional audio and electronics industry veteran joined Cadac Electronics plc in 2005 as managing director. Charged with broadening the company's product portfolio beyond its core theatre sound market and addressing its accumulating financial difficulties, he directed R&D activity towards the exploitation of the company's renowned engineering skill across a wider product range. At the same time he oversaw the acquisition of the company by Soundking Group Company in January 2009, resulting in the recapitalization of the business and its R&D program.

With the Soundking Group acquisition, Thomas was appointed general manager of Cadac Holdings and for a period also acted as interim general manager of Studiomaster, which had also been acquired by Soundking Group. As Cadac's manufacturing became more integrated within the Soundking Group Thomas was appointed director of sales, overseeing the launch of the first new consoles -- Live1, CDC Four, and CDC Eight -- and the appointment of sales development manager Vincenzo Borrelli to open up new distribution channels.

Speaking for Soundking Group and Cadac Holdings, Patrick Almond, marketing manager Soundking Group Europe, stated, "President Wang, the Soundking Group, and everyone at Cadac are immensely grateful to Bob Thomas for everything he has done to turn around the fortunes of this great British audio company and set it on course for a successful future. He has been instrumental in ensuring that the company has the right product, the right strategy and is in the right shape to meet the challenges of an industry that has undergone dramatic change. Everyone here offers him their full support and wishes him every success for the future."

Commenting, Thomas stated, "Cadac is firmly set on its future course with a great R&D team, fantastic new products, and a dynamic new sales guy in Vincenzo. Now is a natural break point for me to move on to concentrate on other interests that are now demanding my full time attention."
