Robe to Highlight Five Luminaires at PLASA Focus: Nashville

Robe Pointe

Following a busy 2013 that saw the successful launch of the Pointe, Robe Lighting will once again exhibit at PLASA Focus: Nashville, February 18 - 19, at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium, highlighting five luminaires.

The Robin Pointe is a dynamic beam, spot, and wash fixture -- small, super-bright, and very fast. This "signature" unit with an intense and sharp parallel beam along with a host of features, is truly a unique and versatile lightsource.

The Pointe features include a 5- to 20-degree zoom with full focus control, variable frost, two separate prism effects, a rotating and static gobo wheel, and built-in color wheel. The lightsource is a 280W Osram discharge lamp making the Pointe a dynamic fixture for creating "wow" factors on a large and small scale while also embracing Robe's "smaller, lighter, brighter" and more eco-friendly philosophy.

Special characteristics of the Pointe include phenomenal speed and an impressive list of additional creative elements such as the zoom, linear and circular rotating prisms, as well as rotating and static gobo wheels.

A custom developed homogenizer works with the rotating gobos to spread the light evenly and achieve optimum projection quality. A variable frost effect instantly transforms the output into that of an efficient wash light.

Robe gets to the Pointe in delivering lighting designers a robustly built, reliable fixture weighing just 34lb.

Bar, club and retail lighting has taken another step into the digital future. The Robin MiniMe is an effects lighting luminaire with the addition of full video output. This small, neat, fast moving fixture is LED driven with a 20,000 hour lifetime source.

Colors, gobos, and beam shapes are all digitally generated by the on-board micro media server. Custom artwork, still photographs, and video can also be uploaded for projection, while live video can be streamed through the HDMI input.

The Robin CycFX 8 is a one-meter linear strip that can be tilted 270-degrees featuring an array of high powered RGBW LEDs for smooth color mixing, with a zoom option that opens the spread out from 8-degrees to a whopping 67-degrees!

The ultra-fast, motorized tilt movement allows the creation of spectacular "wave" effects along a line of fixtures. Individual control of each LED makes the fixture map-able, and enables multiple CycFXs to be built in to a variety of matrix designs.

The unit is supplied with many built-in pixel effects and pre-programmed sequences. Pre-selected color macros also help to make it easy to set up and integrate into any light show.

Integrated tungsten whites are set at 2,700K and 3,200K and the CycFX 8 comes complete with Robe's popular tungsten emulation, including theatrical grade dimming and red-shift effect. Wireless control is an option.

The Robin DLS Profile is the latest product in the DL series that uses the high power RGBW LED module and features an ultra smooth, fast framing shutter system. Each of the four shutter blades can be individually controlled, positioned, and angled and the whole module can be rotated for maximum flexibility.

As with all Robe LED fixtures, the light engine is fully optimized and completely homogenized, producing no shadows and only completely smooth, high-quality coverage. The high power RGBW LED module creates dynamic colors from the richest saturates to the most delicate of pastels, plus proper pure whites at pre-selected color temperatures of 2,700K, 3,200K, 4,200K, 5,600K, and 8,000K. Tungsten emulation means the fixture can be seamlessly integrated into lighting schemes also using traditional luminaires.

Robe's fast Robin 100 LEDBeam is an effects lighting tool. A highly optimized motorized control produces speedy pan and tilt movement, three LED zones allow the creation of various color chases, and the extra punchy seven degree beam angle can be amplified with fast strobing.

Simplified control via pre-programmed colors, color chases and effects on a virtual color wheel and various strobing and pulsing effects allow quick and easy programming.
