Legendary Sound Engineer Mike Wolf Joins Staff of Sound Advantage Inc.

Mike Wolf, a veteran sound engineer who helped Clair Brothers build a worldwide reputation among bands from Bon Jovi to Elton John, and staged events for popes and presidents, has joined the staff of Sound Advantage, an audio, video, and lighting company based in Annville, Pennsylvania.

"Wolf, who has done live shows for such musical acts as Paul Simon, David Bowie, Earth Wind and Fire, Metallica, and Elvis, will help Sound Advantage bridge a gap between global sound companies that can't always spare their resources on up-and-coming and supporting acts because of other demands, and smaller sound companies who don't have the experience and resources to properly equip and cater to the needs of young acts that may be touring for the first time, or working bus and trailer tours on a tight budget," said Bill Hartmann, president of Sound Advantage.

"Wolf will also bring an unrivaled level of experience available to houses of worship, promoters, artists, venues, and area talent," Hartmann added.

Wolf, who goes by the nickname "Wolfie", will help Sound Advantage develop an education program for students interested in careers in sound engineering, and will play a role in the company's plans to develop a state-of-the-art multipurpose performance venue and demonstration space in Lebanon County.

"Wolfie's combination of experience, wisdom, and modesty are unparalleled in our industry," Hartmann said. "He is a pioneer in the sound industry. His nonchalant stories are a veritable history lesson in live sound. It is an honor and an inspiration to welcome him to our team."

Wolf has overseen events on six continents, from TV shows to live broadcasts, for audiences ranging from a handful to more than 2 million.

"I have worked with most of the major entertainers from jazz, pop, rock, classical, religious, and comedy," Wolf said. "I have done events with every US President from Ronald Reagan to Barack Obama, plus some who tried but did not make it."

Sound Advantage was established in 2009 and its team has a combined 150 years experience in the AV industry. Clients include Hershey Entertainment & Resorts, Palace Entertainment, Ogunquit Playhouse, as well as many houses of worship, schools, retirement complexes, and companies.
