New DisplayPort KVM Switchers Integrate Work Stations without Networking to Drive Performance

Two new Gefen KVM (keyboard, video, and mouse) switchers for DisplayPort give access to multiple computers from a single high-resolution display using DisplayPort. Designed for professionals who want to avoid a networked situation, both switchers provide plug and play methods of computer system integration.

The rack-mountable 4x1 DisplayPort KVM Switcher comes equipped with four displayport inputs with USB 2.0 and audio. One displayport output delivers resolutions up to 2560x1600. The USB output drives any keyboard/mouse combination while the audio output supports L/R speakers. Users switch between all four computers by IR remote, front panel selector button or RS-232 connection.

The rack mountable 8x1 DisplayPort KVM Switcher comes equipped with eight displayport inputs with USB 2.0 and stereo audio support. One displayport output delivers resolutions up to 2560x1600 for vivid, engaging visuals. The USB output drives any keyboard/mouse combination while the audio output supports L/R speakers. Users switch between all four computers by IR remote, front panel selector button or RS-232 connection.

Gefen also has basic 4x1 and 8x1 DisplayPort Switchers that give video access without accompanying USB peripherals or keyboard/mouse control.
