Powersoft M Series DSP+ETH Amplifiers Now Shipping

Powersoft is now shipping the new two- and four-channel M Series DSP+ETH amplifiers. "We are very excited to offer the M Series DSP+ETH amplifiers to our customers. With the available EQ and crossover filters, production and installation companies can reduce the size and weight for a variety of applications," says Ken Blecher, EVP of Powersoft Audio Technologies Corp. "Imagine two bi-amplified monitor mixes of power amplification with processing in just one rack unit -- or eight bi-amplified mixes in just four rack units. The addition of DSP+ETH to the M Series product line gives the growing family of M Series users more flexibility and control in one rack unit."

The M Series DSP+ETH models are available in three two-channel (M30D DSP+ETH, M20D DSP+ETH, M14D DSP+ETH) and two four-channel (M50Q DSP+ETH, M28Q DSP+ETH) versions. Both the two- and four-channel units provide two or four inputs and outputs respectively. In addition, each channel offers five bi-quad filters for system equalization, two crossovers, eight bi-quad filters, and RMS and peak limiters eliminating the need for outboard equalizers.

Each M Series DSP+ETH amplifier is housed in a one rack unit, rugged metal case weighing in at only 16.3lbs. The four-channel models provide up to 1250W/ch. on four-ohm loads, while the two-channel models offer a maximum output of 1,500W/ch. on four-ohm loads. All M Series DSP+ETH models are able to drive 70V constant voltage lines directly without the need of transformers for installations.

The M Series DSP+ETH units can store up to four presets and recall them via a pushbutton on the rear panel. Presets can be created, stored, and completely monitored utilizing the Armonía Pro Audio Suite software with computer and amplifiers communicating over standard Ethernet. The internal DSP engine delivers up to 114 dB(A) signal to noise ratio (analog in/out) with a 1 ms processing delay time. It also provides a complete set of limiters: Peak with variable ratio, RMS, and frequency shaping RMS.
