LynTec RPCR Relay Panel Brings Intelligent Circuit Control and Monitoring to Retrofit Applications

LynTec RPCR Relay Panel

LynTec, a manufacturer of customized electrical power control for installed audio, video, and lighting systems, announces its RPCR line of remotely controlled relay panels. Based on LynTec's RPC (Remote Power Controller) series panel, the RPCR is designed to add branch circuit control and monitoring to any existing breaker panel regardless of brand, make, or model. The RPCR combines relay functionality with a built-in web server to bring remote electrical control to applications, including LED lighting, powered amplifiers, and energy management programs.

Ideal for houses of worship, schools, performing arts centers, auditoriums, and other large assembly spaces, the company says LynTec's RPCR is the only relay panel built specifically for the entertainment industry, providing a combination of uniquely designed features and interfaces that satisfy the marketplace's distinct requirements. Adding on/off control to any existing circuit breaker panel installation, the RPCR is equipped with a web-enabled browser-based interface that allows users to set up, troubleshoot, control, and monitor relay status remotely across existing networks. As a result, users obtain simpler, more efficient power management from any computer, tablet, or handheld smart device. The RPCR's point-and-click interface enables users to set up zones, perform sequential on/off switching and scheduling, activate emergency overrides, and provide dependable brownout protection.

"Our RPCR relay panels build on the success of our hugely popular RPC motorized circuit breaker control system," said Mark Bishop, president of LynTec. "Designers were so enthusiastic about our technology that we developed a solution that also satisfies the retrofit circuit control requirements of any existing electrical panel. Featuring easy interfacing with today's most popular control systems for full flexibility and a web server built directly into the controller, users can now get anywhere, anytime access to their relay panel from any browser-enabled device."

For the ultimate in monitoring and control flexibility, RPCR panels are compatible with popular control systems such as ETC, Creston, and AMX. In addition, the units offer the ability to control relays direct via TCP/IP, DMX, RS-232, or contact closure control systems. Featuring brownout protection, the RPCR will automatically shut down selected circuits during under-voltage situations and power up as programmed when voltage regains stability. The units also provide emergency power-on for egress lighting and shutdown capabilities for amplifiers with contact closure inputs from fire alarms. Thanks to the RPCR's remote capabilities, users can receive alert notifications via text or email to warn of voltage anomalies.

Available immediately, LynTec's RPCR is offered in six different configurations housing eight to 64 relays: RPCR-8, RPCR-16, RPCR-24, RPCR-32, RPCR-48, and RPCR-64.
