Tyler Wise Appointed By Group One Ltd. As National Sales Manager - Lighting Division

Group One Ltd., a diversified domestic importer and distributor of professional audio and lighting equipment, announces the appointment of Tyler Wise as national sales manager for its lighting division. Wise will be responsible for overseeing Group One's Elektralite division and the distribution of the Pulsar line. Wise brings extensive experience in the areas of project/product design and development, lighting control, and A/V systems integration from intimate venues to large-scale commercial spaces.

"We are thrilled to have someone of Tyler's experience join the Group One lighting division," offered G1 president Jack Kelly. "The current Elektralite product lineup and our upcoming distribution opportunities demand that we have the highest caliber professionals like Tyler as part of our team."

"I'm honored to be part of future of the Group One lighting team," says Wise. "The support and opportunity awaiting the Elektralite brand is limitless. I very much look forward to bringing my experience from the entertainment lighting world, adding value to our operation, and further growing the brand."

Wise recently served as the eastern US sales manager for Production Resource Group (PRG) and was responsible for business development within the four principle divisions of the company. His multidiscipline role involved global project development including new construction, renovation, production development, and special events.

Prior to PRG, Wise worked for a specialty entertainment controls representation firm in Denver as a senior project manager tasked with designing, engineering, implementing, and supervising installation as well as commissioning of sophisticated lighting control, A/V, and rigging systems. Most applications of his work were for conference centers, theatres, opera houses, amphitheatres, stadiums, and large-scale commercial and industrial spaces. Before that, Wise managed the quotations department at Strand Lighting, where he supervised sales support for North, South, and Latin America.

With an extensive production management background, Wise started his career touring internationally with two professional dance companies as well as two classical vocal groups. More recently he has served as production manager for two off-Broadway productions, winning two Lucille Lortel Awards and one OBIE.

Significant project experience includes the New York Times building, Carnegie Hall renovation, the World of Coca-Cola, EPA Headquarters, New York Yankees Stadium, Pittsburgh Penguins Stadium, Dallas Cowboys Stadium, the Ellie Caulkins Opera House, and several landmark theme park and cruise line projects with The Walt Disney Company.

Wise is a member of the PLASA Behind the Scenes Foundation committee and is an active member in the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Theatre, Television, and Film Lighting Committee.
