Sew What? Inc. Hires Designer John Rios

Ted Nugent tour

Custom theatrical drapery manufacturer Sew What? Inc. has announced the addition of graphic designer John Rios to head up its new in-house graphics department. Rios is a nationally-known designer/illustrator who has worked with a wide range of clients and industries, from packaging and marketing to stage design. His caricature and illustration work is seen and appreciated worldwide, the company says.

According to Sew What? Inc. president Megan Duckett, creating an in-house graphics department is part of the company's continuing effort to provide the fullest range of support services and custom stage drapery design for tour and show producers. The new department offers original graphic conceptualization, file manipulation, and print-ready production execution.

"We are here to do everything we can to assure our clients a great show," said Duckett. "John's talents in concert with our large-format digital fabric printing give our clients a much wider range of visual opportunity."

Duckett says that clients can now consult with the Sew What? graphics department to make certain that their electronic art files are fully optimized for production based on the clients' intended visual effects. the new department can also generate original graphic art content as-needed to meet show and staging requirements.

John Rios and Sew What? began collaborating several years ago on staging for a Ted Nugent tour. Since that time, the relationship has grown, culminating in Mr. Rios' selection as the head of the manufacturers' new graphics department.
