Thern Stage Equipment Introduces New Rope Lock for Counterweight Rigging

The new Brickhouse Rope Lock from Thern Stage Equipment is designed to minimize wear to both rope and rope lock for long lasting performance.

The Brickhouse Rope Lock uses a unique holding mechanism that bends the rope between rollers, instead of crimping the rope between jaws. This method eliminates heavy stress points that wear out the rope and the working components of the rope lock. By bending the rope, rather than crimping it, the rope and rope lock remains in better working condition for a longer period of time. This unique rope lock is suitable for purchase line diameters of 5/8" to 1". The mounting angles, studs and bolt holes are manufactured for a 2-1/4" mounting system, however additional mounting formats are available to meet any specification.

Theatre operators benefit from superior ease of use with the rope lock's innovative design which allows for easy one handed operation, the company says. Designed for secure operation, the unit locks when the handle is in the closed position and can be padlocked to prevent unauthorized use for additional security.

Thern Stage Equipment is a fully owned and operated division of Thern, Inc. Celebrating their 60th Anniversary in 2008, Thern, Inc. is a major.
